The long wool pile gives this rug real depth and softness underfoot, distinct from the shorter, denser fleece used in lower-grade rugs. That depth is a direct result of using longer-fiber, higher-grade hides.

We're conservative with our measurements, and the actual rug may be slightly larger — we measure from the pelt (leather) side only, not including the wool fibers that extend outward, which typically adds at least a further 3.9 inches (10cm) to every dimension.
