Tips: How to Find the Perfect Sheepskin Boot Fit
We have some tips for you on how to find the perfect fit for our sheepskin boots.
DO SHEEPSKIN BOOTS STRETCH?
Yes! Our products are made from genuine A-grade double-faced sheepskin, so you can expect them to stretch after wear, as natural leather products do. When we move about in our sheepskin boots, the pressure from our weight and movements will gradually compress the thick wool around your feet and cause the suede leather to stretch slightly.
A general rule of thumb for this is about half a size in the stretch.
When trying on sheepskin boots for the first time…
- If you feel like your toes are curling or pushing hard against the tip of the boot, this means you’ll need a larger size.
- If your sheepskin boots are slipping off at the heel as you walk, this means you’ll probably need to size down.
We recommend a firm fit when trying on your sheepskin boots for the first time. Ideally, they should feel firm and snug around the toes and should not be slipping at the heel as you walk.
WHAT SIZE SHEEPSKIN BOOT DO I BUY?
Our classic range of sheepskin boots like the Byron fit true to size and are made according to US sizing. Check the size on your sneakers at home and that should be right.
If you are unsure what size you are, don’t worry! We have a size chart available under each product’s description. Depending on the style, we use different shoe soles, so they can vary slightly. Please refer to this if you’re having trouble with size conversions or measurements.
If you’re still unsure, you are always welcome to visit one of our retail stores in person (Emporium, pop-up stores), email us at support@yellowearth.com.au, or give us a call on (03) 8813 6927, and our friendly team will be able to guide you through.
We also offer a 30 Day Exchange policy just in case you need to do a change in size or style, so don’t stress!
